The first lesson is an orientation into the work, helping establish the perspectives and conceptions that are needed for engaging in the other lessons of the modules. This lesson provides opportunities to re-conceptualize and expand educators' understanding of executive function skills (EFs), especially as it relates to recognizing students’ mathematical strengths and brilliance.
This lesson introduces three separable but interacting EF skills, and the following lessons will provide deeper connections
between specific mathematics content and each individual EF skill.
